How does the Internet work with Final Fantasy XI?
The game will be played online with other people as you do missions with each other. There are teams of 6 people and three teams can join to form an alliance of 18 people. Each member can choose their race, looks, job, skill and other choice to be who they want to be in the world of Vana Diel.For a list of jobs, skill ect look under the Characters section

Clans
Clans are group of people who join together to be a group whilst playing Final Fantasy online. When connected you can find your fellow clan members and join up as a team. Although you do not have to join a clan, it gives a sense of teamwork as other clan members will know.For info on joining the clan see the Contact page
